Twin babies have died after their dad left them inside hot vehicle while he got down to business an eight-hour shift.
Juan Rodriguez, a social worker at the Veterans Association clinic, overlooked his 1-year-old little girls, Luna and Phoenix, in the rearward sitting arrangement of his Honda Accord, which was stopped in The Bronx, in New York City on July 26.
The dad of-five returned to the vehicle at 4pm subsequent to finishing his 8-hour move and discovered his kids dead and “frothing at the mouth”, the New York Post reports. Witnesses state he started shouting and a spectator called the police
Rodriguez advised officials he’d neglected to take the infants to their nursery and had not understood they were still inside the vehicle. He was captured and has since been accused of two checks of murder and criminally careless manslaughter.
The guardians of the twins had just barely arranged a major gathering to commend their first birthday celebration, a neighbor said. A family companion, Temple Barrows, portrayed Rodriguez as a “stunning person” and said he was “consistently there for his children”.
Neighbor Tony Caterino, 45, stated: “This was only a loathsome slip-up. That one time you commit an error and you need to live with it for a mind-blowing remainder. They were an incredible family. Continually getting things done with the children, consistently in the yard playing. They had a major stay outdoors a weekend ago with tents in the back yard. He would consistently play catch or b-ball with his more seasoned children.”
