Two people have been affirmed dead and more than 30 vehicles consumed in the pipeline blast that shook the Ijegun people group in Lagos state in the early long periods of today July fourth.
Affirming the quantity of losses, the Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Femi Oke-Osanyetolu, said associated vandals pulverized one with the NNPC pipelines in the surburb and were siphoning Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) into a 33,000 liter limit tanker when they were blocked by security agents.
“While attempting to escape from the security offices, a portion of the siphoned fuel spilled into the waste and the vandals were asserted to have set the spilled fuel ablaze in an offer to hinder the security organizations from catching them.
The flame at that point spread back to the pipeline, the point where the vandals had siphoned the fuel and detonated with raising flame which prompted two fatalities and more than 30 vehicles consumed. The genuine misfortune will be resolved after directing post debacle specification after the flame has been put out. Responders at the scene incorporate Lagos State Fire Service, Police and Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).” he said
