An Ilorin Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday remanded a 30-year-old rancher, Baba Musa, for purportedly macheting his pregnant spouse, Hauwa Musa, to death.
The Magistrate, Ibrahim Bello, who did not take the supplication of the respondent, remanded him in Oke-Kura Prison, pending the exhortation of the state’s Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
He deferred the case till July 17 for notice, NAN reports.
The respondent is being taken a stab at a charge of at fault murder.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Folorunsho Zacheaus, educated the court that the respondent was captured on June 19 at Kusogi town in Patigi zone of Kwara State.
Zacheaus said that Musa supposedly murdered his better half since he imagined he would pass on and accordingly would not have any desire to desert her.
He said that the respondent had no past misconception with his better half.
The investigator said the offense repudiated Sections 221 of the Penal Code Law.
